Arlington, MA

Arlington, Massachusetts, with an estimated population of 42,844, is a town located in Middlesex County. Arlington has quite an interesting history as a town, settled in 1635 under the name Menotomy, it was one of the towns that Paul Revere ran through on his midnight ride during the American Revolution. The town, later renamed to Arlington in 1867, is located in eastern Massachusetts, in close proximity to the state capital, Boston. Arlington’s ice industry was very successful in the middle of the 19th century on Spy Pond. However, once the final remaining ice house burned down, most of the ice was sent over to India and the Carribean. Today, Arlington is a popular destination to live in MA, due to the town being close to Boston. With easy access to the city, it makes an ideal place to reside for those who frequently travel into Boston for work.
