BOSTON, Sept. 26, 2018 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric, a BBB A+ rated home service company with more than 1,000 five-star reviews online, has awarded Ms. Rene, an occupational therapist at Revere’s Garfield Middle and Elementary School, a $1,000 Staples gift card to purchase classroom supplies for the 2018-19 school year as part of its Donate with 128 campaign.
The company asked members of the community to nominate their favorite teachers during the month of August and it received dozens of submissions. Ms. Rene’s name was chosen as the winner of the $1,000 in school supplies during a Facebook Live broadcast on Aug. 31.
“Our future is truly in the hands of our children, and their teachers are heroes that deserve to be recognized and supported,” said Lynsie Sabbatelli, Director of Business Development of 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. “It’s an honor to offer this token of appreciation to a teacher that is clearly recognized by many Revere residents for her talents and dedication to her students.”
Donate with 128, the ongoing monthly charity campaign by 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric, was announced earlier this year as the company’s way to raise awareness for a different charitable cause each month. As Boston-area students head back to school, 128 wanted to contribute to the education of local students by donating $1,000 toward an area teacher.
“I’m really excited and very thankful for this, because this is a great opportunity,” Ms. Rene said. “I’m looking forward to being able to get a variety of supplies that we really do need here. It’s going to go a long way, and I greatly appreciate this. I’m most excited to get a laminator.”
